What is the best dj equipment for a begginer?
stranger asked:
I wanna start spinning (progressive trance and some hard house)…I know I want directo drive turntables and a three channel mixer…just to beggin with. What brands and models do you recommend? Something not too expensive since I’ll only use it to learn, when I’m good at it I might move to something more sofisticated.
Sorry, I meant direct* drive.

First download dss dj 5.5 and play with the free demo.
Second buy 2 cdj 100 or if you have some money a Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3

Yes direct drive is the way to go because belt drives are really crappy. belt drives are video game console of ataris and direct drive bein a xbox etc. When I bought my tables i got 1210 technics because someone that djed said if you were to get into it you might as well get the best. (good thing i took his advice) Plus technics are know for its durability and performance. lot of the industry djs use technics because they have faster/slower pitch (+16,-16) and they are consistent when trying to beat match. Numarks are also good brand but when your going with tables just go with the best because you wont regret it in the long run. Honestly I dont think you should settle for something thats cheap because EVENTUALLY after you get good your gonna want better equipment. There are alot of cheap tables for beginers but most likely youll quit djing PERIOD after you realize you suck with the machines, but if you get the best youll notice the smooth difference of how the record spins. You can always get cheap mixers because mixers sometimes bleed and breaks as you mess around with it and since your a beginner its ok to get a cheap mixer and then change to a better one as you get better. (I had a cheap numark mixer ($70) that I beat the hell out of for the first 3 months and then it started to bleed so i got some vestax) Unless your going to be scratching and juggling records a cheap mixer will do unitll you get better.
